Unit Overview
All graduates from the BCom need to be able to use quantitative techniques to analyse business problems. This ability is important in all business disciplines since all disciplines deal with increasing amounts of data, and there are increasing expectations of quantitative skills. This unit shows how to interpret data involving uncertainty and variability; how to model and analyse the relationships within business data; and how to make correct inferences from the data (and recognise incorrect inferences). The unit will include instruction in the use of software tools (primarily spreadsheets) to analyse and present quantitative data.

Long homework but the tutors are very helpful and this subject is manageable as long as you keep up with the content as it goes

content was explained very well; intuitive and easy to understand. instead of lectures, this course was taught by weekly modules on canvas consisting of short videos and information, which imo made the content more structured and therefore digestible. the weekly homework and labs are very helpful in ensuring that we understand the content. + i attended the PASS sessions too, which was really helpful to retain the knowledge weekly.

Taught well with very easy assignments. Tutorials were incredibly valuable and they are most definitely worth attending. Every assessment task before the final exam(a bit hard but not too bad) is basically free marks, as long as you do the homework and keep up with the course material this subject is a very easy HD.

do the weekly homework and attend the lab. content is not particularly hard but it does take some thinking to wrap your head around. all the assessments during the semester are very doable and easy to get HD if you put in the work, but the final exam can be quite a step-up so do study hard for it. if you pull your weight during the semester you won't have too much to worry about for the finals.
