Unit Overview
There are many uses for accounting data. This unit of study investigates the fundamentals of accounting at an introductory level to provide students with a user-focused understanding of accounting information. The unit of study introduces key accounting concepts from a user perspective, introducing simple financial statements, internal business planning and working capital, as well as evolving topics such as sustainability and corporate governance. Students develop desirable graduate attributes such as critical-thinking and decision-making skills via a range of knowledge building tasks. Authentic assessment is used to evaluate and assist students in the learning process.

Not a particularly difficult subject. However modules were absolutely useless, relied on textbook throughout the semester. Though content was actually somewhat interesting.

Not a hard subject, just so much unnecessary content in the modules. Need to know balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement for the final.

Awesome content. Gives you a nice, introductory overview of what accounting is all about. The lecturers are decent. Only major issue is the difficulty of midterms and final exams. Way over the top, with very short exam times.
